| | For years I was Crafts director at a very large camp. Then took a few years off, and now have been asked to direct at a small camp. I have all the crafts we did in the past and may just repeat the most popular. However, if you have done something really great I'd love to hear about it. Our guidelines have always been (1) it has to be something worthwhile that kids will want to take home (not lose on the campground) and (b) cost must be reasonable. We do wood crafts for the boys and all kinds of stuff for girls. This is a 3 day camp, so the time frame is shorter than what I have done before. |

| | Maybe you've done this before, but I have always found that kids are eager to take home picture frames with a picture of them in it. Popsicle sticks make inexpensive frames & you can paint them & decorate them with all kinds of stuff (beads, stickers, foam shapes, pom-poms). T-shirts are always popular as well, but they're a little more expensive -- you can use fabric markers or fabric paints & stamps.
