I was wondering if any of you are charging a participant fee for your VBS, and how you handle that using the web toy box? How would you collect the fee?

Thanks for your input!

We are charging a fee.

When someone register via the Toy Box, we email them a form that has permission to transport in an emergency, photography release, and opportunity to order a music CD.  We ask them to fill out the form and drop it off with payment at the registration table Sunday morning, or to mail it to the church.

So far, it seems to be working fine.  This is the first year we have used the web toy box.

I am not using the web tool box...but I do have my own online registration system (same idea, it's just more customizable for me to do my own). After they register online, I give instructions that they need to print out the permission slip and drop it off with any payment to the church office.

So far it's working okay...but there seems to be a longer delay between the online registration and getting the paperwork than is really needed (it should be a few days...some people still haven't in a few weeks). I think people put it off...I added to my system an automatic reminder to people who's paperwork I haven't received. So once a week I select that option and emails are sent to everyone who hasn't turned in paperwork or fees.

Yes, we charge $10 a child or $30/family.  Each child will receive a t-shirt.  I have had most register online and then ask that they pay in the church office ahead of time or on the first day of VBS.  When I am notified that they have paid I place (**) by their name(s).  System is working well.
