| Anyone in youth ministry but also interested in or come from the Reformed tradition? I started a new website for people like me who love youth but also believe in reformed theology:
www.reformedyouthpastor.com
hope this helps some of you!

| Excuse my ignorance, but what actually is the difference between reformed and well... not reformed?

| Dale (6/4/2008) I tried to register but could not.
It works now, we had a bug, but it's fixed, sorry about that!
To answer the other question about what is means to be reformed or not reformed, reformed theology basically emphasizes the sovereignty of God. Free will exists, but at the same time God is completely in control of all things. Anyway, there are a few articles on my site that talk about the basics of being reformed, they might be of some use to discuss it more:

| | Dear knoxben: I grew up in the Christian Reformed church (close to Dutch Reformed). Except for possible infant baptism their doctrine is right on the money. I never had trouble believing that freewill and predestination could exist together but since living in the west (30 yrs) I've had the most livley discussions about this with high school kids. My Sunday School lesson plans on my website reflect a "reformed" theology. But don't lump me in with the kind of guy that wears a suit, insists on singing only hymns, and tell's women to be quiet in church. On the other hand, I get very uncomfortable with groups that focus on physical healings, fairly demanding that God do their bidding because they yell when they pray (just overstating there). I think salvation is miracle enough and that needs to be a priority. Could go on but time is short. See you around the block. The stuff on your website is good. Kevin

| | Thanks Ben. I just signed up for your forum. I was baptized as an adult, although I always attended church as a child, but would consider myself reformed, as I chose to consciously follow god's path and minister to youth in my adulthood... |
