Does anyone have suggestions on creative ways to do door prizes, other than just pulling a name or number out of the bucket?

We will have a limited time to do this, probably about 15 minutes or so, and have a lot of give a ways....

I want something other than tradition! Help.... my creative juices aren't flowing for this one...

THanks!

Staci

Staci,

First, I love giveaways!!!! They can be totally fun. You can do a run off of a lightening round/blitz game. Just grab a couple of volunteers ask them a pop culuter question and run with it! You can change them up to Bible questions, church staff questions, Wiggles questions or whatever you want. Just please promise me two things: 1) Have fun with it and use a lot of energy. 2) don't use the "who has a birthday this month" option!!!

Oh, another fun contest is to have a number of theme songs and the first to guess the song (before it is totally obvious) gets the door prize!

Thanks Matt,

That is one idea we had was to do a trivia type game to give them away... we have enough door prizes that almost everyone will win something. I will probably use this idea for the larger prizes, and pull names for the smaller prizes due to lack of time. I have some wild and crazy volunteers that will be perfect for the job!

Any suggestions on a website that might have trivia question? Im sure I can come up with some on my own, but not enough.

Thanks, Staci

Staci,

I don't know of a website, though I'm sure they're out there, but I always go with the pop culture.  Of coarse you will probably throw some Bible questions in there for the heck of it but make it fun.  Awesome to hear you have the perfect volunteers for this sort of thing.  I saw this play out with THE WRONG volunteers and I wanted to leave!!!!

Matt

I played bingo with the kids.  They loved it. The cards and spinning wheel were inexpensive.  We gave away MP-3 players and gift cards.
