| Does anyone have any ideas about how to attach something fairly heavy to a ceiling? I would like to hang faux steel beams (probably styrofoam or cardboard) above one of our stairwells that has a plaster ceiling. I am not worried about damaging the ceiling finish, as it is painted white and can be easily repainted, so any adhesive would be ok. I do not, however want to drill into the ceiling and nails will not stay because the plaster crumbles. Are Command hooks strong enough to hang horizontally? Whatever method is used must be able to withstand significant temperature fluctuaions.

| | Aren't there command hooks for different weights? Sounds like that could work especially if you're only hanging foam |
