I agree about the books.  We don't use them either but would like to be able to send the mission project where it is supposed to go.  We ended up finding a place where we can donate the soccer balls this year.  We are sending them with our team on their mission trip.  I would like the books to be included with the item we are giving as a mission project.

I agree. I can certainly see the reason for having anything to do with OK2K be seperate from curriculum materials.

My issue with stickers is that some years, the stickers on the sticker sheet have been entirely just an "extra," and than other times, like this year, certain stickers are referred to for use with the student book. And you have to read through every manual to tell the difference, it is not obviously stated. I think that if a sticker is required, like the buddy sticker for the preschool daily challenge, the splat sticker for Chadder, and the stickers to attach the daily challenges for the elementary crews, they should be included in the student book. And the "extra" stickers on a seperate sheet. Especially considering the cost.

We don't use the books at all because so many of children just end up throwing them away and the parents hate the clutter.....there are two many things in the books that we don't use at all!   I like to purchase the items seperately as I need them.

I love Group VBS but wish they would drop OK2K or have it as more of an option (materials included separately instead of including the posters in the kit) and not featured so much in their promotional DVDs. We also opted not to purchase the books this year because half of it was for OK2K. We purchased the challenge strips and stickers separately.

Agreed. We choose to do a missions project through World Hope International. We have started a really fun tradition of using a larger wooden scale and two metal buckets to have an offering contest throughout the week. It was so much fun last year. The kids gather every penny they could find and we sent $500 to an orphanage in Guyana.

I'm glad Group gives us a option for missions but, I do wish it was more of an option and not forced quite so much.
