I was at Wally World today and saw a styrofoam cooler and thought hmmm what could I do with that for VBS?  Then I had an AH! HA! moment and realized it was perfect for a scale.  Now it is not elaborate but I thought for an oversized stage prop it would look pretty cool and it was budget friendly.  It only cost 1.57 plus paint that I had lying around.  Hope someone can draw inspiration from this as I know you all have done for me with your awesome ideas!

Kimberlee

Kimberlee, Thanks for sharing your idea with us. Your contribution no matter how big or small is a blessing to us all on the forum. I never even thought of a giant scale. You have inspired me to build one also.

It's amazing how us VBS directors can convert anything into a useful prop. I guess we can call that talent, Spontaneous Recycleable Generation!

Thanks Kimberlee, that is really cool. It could be used as a cost saving alternative to the daily challenge beaker.  Possibly have several for the different crews, see whose fills up the fastest - assuming you let each child put a balloon or the like ONLY if he/she completes daily challenge. This would only work with small group of kids unless you used smaller balls/balloons.

Blessings,

Lisa in FL

Thank you all for your kind words.  To tell the truth I was kind of scared to post but now I am really glad I did!  I am working on some simple table centerpieces and when I have one completed I will post it as well.  I am no longer AFRAID of this forum!!

What a cute idea!  You might even be able to make a game out of it for younger kids.
