Hello all, I am totally stumped. I have been looking for tamborine jingles to use in our jewelry shop in place of the metal discs offered by group. I have not been able to get any. The dealers that I have found have both been out since Feb when I started my search. Has anyone had any luck? I may end up doing the nail necklaces as a substitute. Thanks for any help! Jen

I never thought to look for those.  I broke down and purchased the ones from group from someone on Ebay.  They are called discountvbs.  Shipping for your total order is $4.99.

We are leaving our jewelry shop open all week for kids who finish their projects early.  They will be able to come make witness bracelets mon-wed.  Then on Thursday we will add the 3 nails cross necklace (and wooden crosses for the little ones ) and on Friday we will use the metal disks from group.

You could probably flatten bottle caps.  We ordered them in bulk for a musical instrument project last year for GBS.  Here's a link to a post I made that has a link to the source for the bottle caps:  Our Galilee Experience.

you would not believe how I figured out that problem and it only cost a $1.

You see I have been working on getting sample craft projects ready for our V.B.S. which in on the 23rd.

I tried tin...it was okay wasn't sharp but, cutting out and trying to make some design like the exsample was hard!I even had some thin brass but,it was no good...plus it can be exspensive!

Then I was looking around my cache of things i have collected for this and that..I'm a scout leader you see.

And, I had on me metal tape made out of aluminum I stuck them sticky side up against each over 2 on 2 cut a little piece and place it in the middle of them to make them stay together. Then cut in a circle and hole punched it!Now you might think it would be sharp but, no and I also rolled the edges a bit got a nice smooth sharp free edge like a coin and then got a small craft stick and doodle across it.

And there was my perfect fake! The leather lacing can be expensive I lucked out I had in my box of goodies leather sheets so I just made my own lanyards. But, you could use yarn too everyone has that and can donate.
