Here are some thoughts others have had, to get you thinking.
  • Beyond the Create-a-theme poster, our volunteers wore capes to help distinguish them. It would be fun for the kids to do, too -- with different colors for different small groups.
  • We used the posters and even the Bible Hero Cards from Group's Heroes Unmasked (check them out at http://store.grouppublishing.com/OA_HTML/gpCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=11862). Four of the 7 posters in the poster pack were the ones from Heroes, and we thought posting the other three (Jesus, Esther, and Noah) would be fine, too.

We began the program with the heroes module.  We used the suggestion of purchasing the posters from the Heros Unmasked Program and posted them along with posters od conventional superheroes ( Spiderman, The Incredibles, Batman) on the walls of our meeting place.  We also found a few conventional superhero masks to hang and a superhero costume.

Well, once again I am looking for something a little more interactive, this time for the Heros unit. I read the ideas on the web page but they all had more to do with visual appeal. Any ideas of something a little more hands-on?

I am also hoping that we hear something soon about the production schedule.

Besides what is here and on Group's Living Inside Out web site, our development editor Amy shares these ideas:

You can make any type of super hero costume including hats, shoes, gloves etc. to go along with the capes.

You can also make a super hero obstacle course as kids enter the class--something that only a "super hero" could get through.

Kids could also make their own superhero logos out of snack items and then take pictures of them and hang them on the walls.

Hope this helps!
