| | Hi! I was just wondering if anyone had any pictures this year of any decorations that have been made. We have used the forum in the past years to get tons of ideas and they have all been soooo helpful. I haven't found many pics available this year as I have in the past. If you have some that I have missed somewhere on this board or if you have any that are not on the forum, please let me know. We are very interested in seeing how others have decorated or plan to decorate their platforms and other areas of the PowerLab VBS. Thanks so much!! Pam in Louisiana

| | I think it's just early. And there are more things that willl be assembled at the last minute. Last night I sat looking at the tube that my giant Buddies had come in and realized I had a second tube that was the same size. So I grabbed them both, wrapped them in gold paper from The Dollar Tree and plopped BIG silver balls I got after Christmas on top! I added some gold pipe cleaners around the top and I'm going to use thin wire to "arc" blue tinsel between the two. I've got a strobe light I picked up a couple of years ago that I might shine on them for a truly wild effect! Not bad for a couple of after Christmas items and mailing tubes!

| | So here are some decorating ideas: This will be used in Bible Blast on Day 4. I'm sorry that the video is sideways. I wasn't thinking when I took it!
Here are the sides of my boat for Bible Blast:
Here is our sort of Tesla coil. My daughter is working on adding more pipe cleaners so they are every couple of inches down the tube! I haven't put a wire in the tinsel yet. It's just there to give you the idea!

| 06/03 Just updated Hometown page w/ the painted lab bench. I'm not real happy w/ the green door and may repaint in orange or maybe not. Talked about painting the top a brown woodtone color and the shelves. I just cut them out but couldn't build due to bad weather. We had tornados last friday and more tonight but they are 10 miles southeast of us.. still alot of rain. Just hear in Moscow, In ...lost a very old covered bridge... it's all gone. We need to pray for safety and comfort for ones in the path of this storm.

HI everyone I have been working hard . Let me explain the pictures The first one needs not explanation . She came wonderful. I use glitter glue to make her electricity shine . Then I use matalic paint too make her come out so well. The next one is the bubbles I am making to match the beakers. I have taken Basket weave and gone with a glue gun behind and stiffen it so it hangs Kinda like a kite. The beaker with the balls in it was hand sewn. clear plastic from Joannes . Working hard on all the characters watch for more to come . God bless Doreen

Your desk is fantastic. Would not know it was made from foam. Do you have some foam left? Make little test tubes out of foam and use as your knobs on the drawers. Real scientific!
Doreen,
Way cool electra! Really looks alive. Love the pictures! Thanks for sharing.

| You all are inspirational! I've been working on my beakers out of foam for the stage backdrop. I've also made some atoms out of the walmart playground balls. I need to spend more time this weekend on it.
