| | How did the grade 4 & 5 boys respond to the cute Bible Buddies? I know the girls of all ages will think they are cute but what about the older boys. My first reaction is that they were cute but also looked pre-schoolish. Tucker reminds me of the TV show Franklin. So I am curious as to how the boys responded. The rest of the program looks great. |

| I am really excited about this theme. You can decorate so cheap for this one. I am already seeing twisted brown butcher paper vines and swamps and we just finisher Power Lab Friday. My car is still loaded with Deco.

| I remember all the kids liking the AR and Serengeti buddies! And they were more "cute" animal ones. Some of what makes the buddies memorable, though, is not how they look, but how they are given and the meaningful presentation from crew leaders.

Personally I've liked the Bible Buddies better in previous years but the kids will definitely be able to get to enjoy some of them if they can't enjoy all of them. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio

| | We use sixth, seventh and eighth graders as our assistant crew leaders, so I didn't order Bible Buddies for them. On the first day of VBS they were all incredibly disappointed, so I had to grab a bunch of Bible Buddies for my middle schoolers from our local bookstore/distributor. The boys loved them as much as the girls, and they wanted the test tube clip to hang them on, too! I agree that they look like preschool stuff (this year's especially) but ALL my kids love them. We keep a couple of sets in the youth room and even the high school kids play with them. They are a really big deal. |

| | With PowerLab this year we separated our 5-6th graders (our preteens) into a couple of crews all their own. They didn't do the stations like the rest of the kids, but instead the leaders used the youth Oozology curriculum but had to simplifiy it a bit. It was our first year to do this, and it was a success. I definitely recommend it. We didn't plan on this age group wanting to do the crafts, but |
