Josh-That would be fun to go to a field test!!!

I was in Colorado last week on a Missions Trip. It was so beautiful there! We were so close to Group too but I couldn't go. I'm definitely going to make a trip to Group next summer whether it be for the field test for VBS 2010 or just a visit.

Just jumpin on the band wagon!

I had to work this year and only made 2 days of PL.  (WHAT A BUMMER! )

I am REALLY looking forward to next years CD!  We built a wooden "shack" a few years ago for a Christmas program and used it for VBS.  I am looking forward to using it again for 2009.  Just a couple ideas for everyone that I had.  You might try and talk to your local fire department and see about getting some of their old fire hose.  I was looking at some photos and thought about using hose to make a snake for CD.  Also, I found a long time ago how to make small boats out of plywood.  It would be cool to have a boat or two around the swamp.

The stories are very similar to HolyWord and that was absolutely one of the best years ever for Bible Adventure.  I will NEVER forget the act of painting the blood on the doorways and hearing the women wailing all around us.

I hope that Group has resurrected that activity!!!!

Peggy,
I led the Bible Blast station for Holy Word studios and couldn't get through Day 4 once (let alone 4 times!) without being moved to tears.  It was one of the most amazing and memorable times in my 32 years of Christianity!  The kids and adults were all so moved by the very strong Salvation message.  I certainly hope they bring in something like that again.  That was my favorite vbs ever.

Also, I agree about the OK2K posters.  We don't use that.  The Bible Buddies or Bible story or Bible verse!  posters would be much more practical.
