My doorbell rang yesterday, and I opened it to two smiling faces beaming up at me. One little girl was missing her two front teeth, and she smiled so big, as she asked me if I would like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies... I said, how could I resist!

I was reminded of how powerful the innocence of a child is, and how inviting they are to adults who are having a bad day, and maybe even just need a smile.

Outflow's success will begin with children. Children doing random acts of kindness, as simple as a smile, and a box of Girl Guide Cookies. When you have a child with you, it is amazing how the adult you approach is more readily able to smile back.

A smile can change the world

Agree! We handed out flowers in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Mother's Day to all the women. When the men in our group approached, they looked a little suspicious. When my daughters (ages 7 & 9) approached, the women smiled. We saw more than one tear on the cheek of a woman who received a gift without any expectations. And my girls absolutely loved it.

I also think it is very important to teach our children to be servants in the Kingdom of God.  The bible says to train a child up in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.  If we spent more time teaching children the importance of using their talents for God maybe when they are adults we would have more adults who are willing to do the same!

When talking to my dad about Jesus, he often shuts down. However, when my 6 year old talks to him they can talk and talk and talk without any problems. Children have a way of making people feel comfortable and willing to talk. Praise God!

Children are watching us!  Our actions and what we say when we think no one is listening teach our children volumes.  If we learn to share our love for Jesus with others as a natural "Outflow" of the love Jesus has given us, our children will follow right along in our footsteps.

Taking children along as we exercise our Outflow for the child's sake should the main reason for taking them. That people respond more to them than us is just gravy!
