| Somewhere I found an idea that Group suggested for an easy decoration...Attach the sides of a drop cloth to the edge of the ceiling and put balloons inside. Has anyone tried this decoration? What do you do about the lights on the ceiling? Will it not be too warm? I would hate to have balloons popping, or worse yet...melting! Any thoughts on this?

| Fluorescent lights (which are in most church buildings) emit very little heat, and would barely be warm enough to melt ice, much less balloons. If you have incandescents, I wouldn't worry about nearby balloons popping as long as they are not touching the bulb.

| I have suggested the drop cloth in the past. I would say let it gap/sag just a little bit, then it will give the lights some air flow. Another idea we went with, because of a wedding, was tulle. I sewed it lengthwise to make it long enough and then tied knots at the ends and put a nail through the knots.
We tried duct tape....DO NOT DO IT! It's not worth the brain damage!  The tape doesn't like to stick to the tulle all that well, it looks good at first and then falls. |
