For crafts I am hanging up pictures of planets. Someone gave me boxes of science teaching stuff and it I found lots of info on stars and planets.

You could make atoms out of pool noodles and wire and hang in the room.

God Bless

I am using the Bible Buddy Posters from Group to put on the walls, along with various beakers that I am making out of posterboard.  From the ceiling, I will hang atoms (clip art)and spirals (from Hobby Lobby).  We work at tables, so each table will have a Crew # marker with beakers on it as well.

We always to to find a "Learning Wall" from S& S that goes with the theme for our craft area.  This year we purchased the Solar System.  These are large murals that can be colored.  http://www.ssww.com/store/product/sku=LR209/cmc=SRCH/v=bGVhcm5pbmcgd2FsbHM%3D/p=1/

This year we also purchased the atom mobiles from oriental trading.  These have colorful atoms as tops and the bottom parts are science objects that need to be colored.

There are always those children that finish their crafts quickly so they can color these things and add to the decorations as the week goes on.

I looked on oriental trading's site for the atom mobils and don't see them right now, so they may be out, but they may get them back

The room we are crafting in is a long one.  On one side we will be putting the periodic table since it is so large & we need something to take up room.  We'll probably have little things around the room as well.  I'm not totally sure but I know my decor person has it all under control .

Our VBS isn't until the first week of August.  However I am STOKED because I just found a local church that finished yesterday.  I'm getting sonic sing/finale decor, Bible Blast boxes already decorated, DC beaker & stand up fizz all for about 1/2 of the cost online.  I am SO HAPPY!

I'm not one who asks, but obviously God is stretching me in that area.  It's always worth asking!

HI, I am a first time writer, but have been gleaning ideas for several years off of this forum.  It's awesome.  Or VBS starts tomorrow.  Still looking for last minute ideas.  For our craft room, we took cheap round plastic tablecloths and cut the edges to look like giant gears to tape to the wall.  Adding black dots for middle and extra holes in the gears.  We are also hanging some of the gear mobiles that were also listed in this forum on another post.  The other thing we put on the wall is a giant soccer ball using the same round tablecoth and will be putting our OK2K posters in the middle of the soccer ball.  Hope this helps.  Sorry I don't have any pictures.

Thanks.

For our craft area, we wanted to keep the floor free of decorations and keep the space as open as possible so we cut out paint blobs, like what is on the container of the VBS starter kit, and taped them all over the celing and walls.  We just used the lime green, pink and red poster board and on some of them we wrote the Bible verse for the week.
