| Five years ago when I took on VBS I told the pastor how we wanted to decorate(Please note they hadn't done a vbs for about 10 years)--He was fine with it but said--No yellow tacky putty stuff, no staples, no duct tape, no masking tape, no scotch tape, no glue, no tacks--Ok I asked what is left--SO I had some researching to do. One day after praying a comerical came on TV--It was for painters tape--Never heard of it but they said you could leave it on the walls for 14 days and it would come off without ripping or leaving marks!! So I asked the Pastor--at this time he had never heard of it--But I took a piece to church and hung it on my sunday school wall- 3 weekes later I took it down (oops forgot the whole date thing)--the wall was fine not a chip of paint came off. We have used it ever since-even on our sancuary walls and main hallways!! Although I have used all brands for the blocks I would use scotch or 3m--I used walmart brand "duck" (painting tape) last year at AR--We were in the lowest part of our church when Me and my 4 decorating helpers tried to hang fence railings and post on the wall--AS soon as we tried to hang the second one the first one would fall--so we tried the otherside of the hallway--IT fell again. After a half hour and almost in tears I had to walk away.....I was up in the VBS room going I know It worked last year when I happened to see a half roll from last year--So I re grouped and went back down to where I was working and tried again....Put the tape on the back and pressedo it worked!! I looked at what the diffence was--It was the brand-So one of my helpers called her husband and off he went to walmart for more Scotrch brand painter tape--It works on all areas-including cement blocks-painted on no-painted!! And in the last 5 years I've only had 4 or 5 things fall!! Hope this helps!!

| | 3M commando products are excellent for hanging things and they have the tab you pull down and it comes right off the wall when you are done, they are very strong as well and come in a variety of sizes......love those things....they sell a large selection at wal mart and home improvement stores. |
