You need one concrete form tube (like the ones used for the table on the video).  We sprayed painted it with grey and then just went around with silver tape.  We place it on top of a fan (cover the fan with aluminum foil to disguise).  Make sure you turn on the fan b-4 kids arrive so they don't notice any changes.  Blow up a balloon, place it on top and watch how it floats in the air - kids were amazed and just loved it!!!

Here is a picture!!

We used an air circulator fan that you can put on the floor - you can get them at Home Depot for about $20

I love it! Unfortunately I won't have time to make one since our VBS begins on Monday.

Really cool!  Does the air circulator make a lot of noise?

If the air ciruclator/fan is sitting on its back, how does it get enough air to blow the balloon up?  How does it keep from overheating?  I LOVE this idea, and want to use it, but want to make sure I'm completely understanding it.  I have to be extra careful, you know...with hubby a firefighter and all.  It would look REALLY bad if the VBS director started a fire.
