Super easy color and all you need to do is print out the pattern on colored paper or cardstock, cut along the lines, and tape it up.  I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow with brighter blues and purples, but you get the idea.  Each color is made from one sheet of cardstock.   The length of your spiral is determined by the width of the "coil" and how many "coils" it includes.  If you want shorter, just snip off the ends.  I made the spiral patterns dark enough for a cut line, but not dark enough to be noticeable if you don't cut very straight.  This is a great project to hand off to someone.

bellsic,

Thanks for the inspiration! I made one out of a foil pie plate and it worked and looks great. It reminds me of the swirly, hangy things someone made out of 2 liter pop bottles for FIESTA.
