| Group told me on the phone that the expando powder is the same powder found in a disposable toddler-sized diaper. We did not order the cinema science kit and are making it work the best we can without it. Tonight my station leader is cutting diapers open and we will try it tomorrow. You only need a very little bit (about 1/2 of a tsp per use, which is the amount found inside the diaper, supposedly).

| | You can buy it at a garden center. (according to a site when I was searching for it online.) It is sodium polyacrylate. I am hoping I can find it, too. If anyone knows about the paper for day 4 I am looking for that, too. Thanks! |

| | Steve Spangler has a jar on his site that I used during VBS. Even though I ordered the science kits, the powder from S.Spangler's site was much more effective and didn't clump up or fall out of the cups. I had 250 kids (3 rooms, 5 rotations) and still had more than enough with one jar ($6.95). It's called water gel jar. http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/product/1448 |

| | If you're avoiding ordering the science kits because of money, one kit covered 5 rotations for me. I ordered 3 kits for the 3 cinema/science rooms and had plenty of supplies (one kit should cover about 100 kids). Steve Spangler also has the magic paper but the kits are the way to go as far budget. |

| I'm confused. (this VBS has sooo many details and I'm not a detail person!!) What is the science kit for? I don't see it for sale online. Both my Bible Blast leader and my preschool leader submitted a list of items needed and neither of them asked for a science kit. Please tell me more about it.
Thanks!

| It's for the Chadder Cinema Science station and is sold through Group's Outlet. HOWEVER, the last I heard Group is still out of the kits.

| | I looked at some of it and it seemed like exactly what is in the lining of a diaper. I'd try that. |

| How can I find out the items I need for the kit if they are out of stock?
I also don't see Power Lab stickers listed or the daily challenge balloons. I'm starting to have buyer's remorse because it is so hard when they build the program around items and them don't stock enough of them.
