| I am a recent youth leader also, but I have been working on a youth ministry team at this church for several years. Our kids have in the past loved the "theme" lockins we've done. Our youth leader family was obsessed with reality tv, so we've done "Survivor," "Big Brother," "Amazing Race," etc. Our youth group also gets really fired up after Acquire the Fire every year, so we've done "Frontlines" and "BattleCry" themed lock-ins, also. Find a theme that is fun and has lots of game opportunities, and also that has a message in it. Find music and dramas to go with it, too. There are some really great ideas waiting to be snatched up, so just be open to odd inspirations.

| A great way to captivate kids is to hand them another teens real prayer journal! One has actually been published that pulls kids in with photos & handwrtting. The chance to read another teens private thoughts is irresistible, giving you plenty of great faith points to talk about. - Try it: Melissa's Prayer Journal, - discounted at www.MBMPublishers.com -Jason
