Greetings Everyone,
We finished Power Lab last week and it was many folk's favorite VBS yet. Everyone had a blast.
But, my point to this post is the set design ideas. If you are interested, I've posted a simple podcast with set photos and the fabulous gal who made the set narrating and explaining how she did everything. I do hope some of you will find something in it that you can use.
Here's the link or just CLICK HERE.

Just checked out your podcast. WOW. You sure had fun and should be very proud of what you made. It is so different and am sure the kid's were in awe of it.

I have the fiber optic lamp and a lava lamp. Thanks for the tip to put black paper behind them so the colors will stand out. I just bought a big roll of it yesterday to make the batteries. I was sitting in church and looked at the altar and we have two square shaped areas that I usually never decorate but had an Aha moment- 9 volt battery.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Kathy

thanks for posting and link to the podcast....I appreciate the pointer about putting something iridescent behind colored water containers...really like your huge PL sign, think we'll do something similar...and the carpet tube test tubes...great!!!! they look so good, we were already planning to use them for the daily words...but the way you used the transparency sheets at the top looks so real...love it!!...here's an idea someone else might use....we are also making giant test tubes out of two liter soda bottles, cutting off the tops and bottoms and taping together.
