Last year we registered over 100 for the first time, although of course actual attendance was in the low 90's.

I like to think that we reach an unlimited number of people -- parents, neighbors, the kid next to them in school next fall who wants to know where they got the cool little action figure or lanyard or trading card, the friends of our volunteers who ask "where have you been all week? On vacation?" , the lady in the Taco Bell who registered her kid the second night because I'd been there the first buying 30 empanadas -- and the kid in line behind us at the movies, who was humming a VBS song, spotted my Fiesta! folder in my purse, and started talking about VBS with us!

Our goal this year is 100, but we usually have 80 or so.

This is my third year being VBS director and we have increased from 55 three years ago to expecting 100-105 this year.  Last year we had 93 kids registered and 84 show up on the busiest day (Wednesday).

We usually have 200 kids preregistered with about 20 more on a waiting list.  We charge $25 for our VBS so those that preregister usually show up.  However, we do have to occassional noshow because we start registering in April for a July VBS.  I guess people forget about what the pay for and schedule something else for that week.  Anyway, we usually end up being able to take 3 or 4 of our "waiters".

We had 400 plus last year and expect  between 400 and 500 this year. We used pre registration by website, phone and mail in. This seemed to reach more families as we had some travel from as far away as 30 miles. We also had same day registration. About 80-100 volunteers total, but not all the same days. YEAH GROUP!  We love you.
