Hey gang,

What is your number one resource/book/series for parents to use in their
home to teach (esp. young) children spiritual Truth?

I want to make sure our bookstore is well stocked. Can you shoot me a
title or author you really think I can recommend?

Chris Yount-Jone wrote an excellent book on parenting -- "With All Their Heart."

For Bibles I like the NTL or New Century.

Reggie Joyner/Andy Stanley have a great parenting class-- "Parental Guidance Required."

The Bible. There's one version that's really easy for kids to understand called the International Children's Version.

At every Infant/Child Dedication, we give parents "The Spiritual Growth of Children" by John Trent (published by Focus on the Family). It helps parents to know what kids are ready for spiritually at each stage of growth. (There is also a summary version, Teaching Kids about God: An age by age plan for parents of children from 0-12.)

I personally have enjoyed the Heritage Builders series - especially the book, Spiritual Milestones, and the Family Nights series. The Family Night series helps with doing a weekly, active family devotion.
