Wanting a special idea to give to the volunteers on the last night. Thinking about a nice poem or small gift with a tag attached- to do with Power Lab.

Thanks,

denise

Hi
I posted earlier about a find at Hobby Lobby. They have glass lightbulbs in the glass area. The top twists off and you can fill with candy. They had two sizes.

At Dollar Tree I found neon green water or drink bottles. It is so hot out here that I am going to put a gift coupon for ice cream in it for my teen helpers.

Those are realy nice. I got the smaller ones since I am already giving them test tubes spice sets and petri dish mints. Here is a photo of the ones I did. My note says...

"You have BEAN a valuable addition to our Power Lab VBS this year. Thank you for helping us SHINE the light of Jesus on the children."

We bought some petri (spelling?) dishes from oriental trading.  We are going to get a big container for Jelly Bellies from Costco and fill the dishes with the cute thank you cards that Group offers for Power Lab.  We usually come up with some clever saying for the cards too.

I bought extra test tubes.  I wonder if I could fill them with something...can you buy Pop Rocks in bulk?  With what else could I fill these small vials?  Any ideas?

I'm filling about 75 of them with jelly beans as well and giving those out to the kids.

I ordered flashlight keychains from OTC and also giving each one a bottle of PowerAde.

I suppose next year I'll have to give out GatorAde!

I am filling our leftover test tubes with "nerds" candies and attaching a note saying

"Thanks for being a nerd while serving as a fantastic funologist at VBS this week."

I got the saying from one of the other thank you gifts  ideas here.
