Has anyone come up with a good alternative for the expensive (and now impossible to find) Daily Challenge Mega Beaker? I love the idea of kids adding balloons and so forth, but what else can we use besides the beaker?

Hmmm... there was a thread that has disappeared.  Some folks were recommending one of those play tunnels and Doreen has made something of clear vinyl.

Search for "alternative beaker" above and you might find something.

we're going to make big cardboard flasks/beakers/test tubes etc to mount each of the buddies onto... we're going to then add a dowel each day(probably duct taped to the wooden stand behind the giant props) to the appropriate day's buddy beaker and have the crews tape a balloon bubble onto the dowel... so each day, the line-up of beakers across the stage will gradually begin bubbling over...

We are planning to make a giant tube out of either mesh duffel bags sewn together or clear plastic tablecloths...neon balloons will be added each day and the tube will be strung across the sanctuary or stage area. Where are you? There may be a church nearby that bought the megabeaker and can loan it to you.

This is cute and may provide some inspiration for you creative types. If nothing else, the little girl is adorable.

Hi!   I am in Bridgeport, MI (about 2 hours North of Detroit), and we are in need of a Mega Beaker.  Is there anyone nearby I could borrow or buy from?  Please e-mail me.

Thanks!
Kim
