Check out PJ's site and there are little sayings for different candies (i.e. Thanks for being a "Life Saver", etc.) if you want to give one out daily.  I think someone posted on here other ideas for daily gifts, but I don't know where the post is now.

Blessings,

Lisa in FL

Here is what I got:

Day 1 - Fizz candies - Nothing eLABorate ... just a BLAST from the past to thank you for helping kidz know Jesus.  Just like He is the center of our livez, that's where the FIZZ iz.  Thankz a gazillion! (Thanks Rene!!)

Day 2 Atomic Fire Balls – Thanks for all the “energy” you give to our VBS! (Thanks Cheri!!)
Day 3 - Water - missing what to say... Rene?!!!

Day 4 - Wintergreen LifeSavers – Thanks! It “mint” a lot to have your help at VBS. You’ve been a complete life saver this week; literally, an “eternal life” saver. (Thanks Cheri!!)

Day 5 - still working on it, I tried the Power Bars, but it will be too expensive for me. So, I'm looking for small bottles of Powerade - can't wait for next year to use gatorade!! - But, I'm still missing here...

and I finally found all the thank you for volunteers that I had seen, just did a search for fizz candy and they all came out!!!

You're quite welcome, Denise. I'm glad I could be of help!

Now for a go at Day 3... How about something like, Thank you for helping our children develop a "thirst" for the Word of the Lord, or You deserve some H2O because you are the NACL of the earth! Thanks for helping out in our laboratory this week.

On Day 5, I gave out bags filled with Good 'N Plenty and included a note saying, "Our Power Lab has been good because you have given plenty! Thanks for all of your help at VBS this week.

A couple of gift ideas...

I'm doing the small bottles of "powerade" with a little note that says something like "Thanks for your energy you brought to VBS, here's something to help you bring it again tomorrow!"

Also got little plastic test tubes with cork stoppers from guildcraft.  I'm filling them with multi-color Nerds. Note: "Thanks for being a nerd with us at Power Lab"

Still working on my other ideas.  Hope this helps!

I got the cool baby soda bottle test tubes from Steve Spangler Science and filled them with M&M's.  Tied on a little bright green thank you tag with stretchy cord.  These are my favorite thank you gifts ever!

It's always so surprising to be reading a post and see my name; you're quite welcome.  I sure like the H2O/NACL line from Cheri.  Other options might be ...
"You're just WATER VBS needed ... thanks for helping this week."
"You're just WATER VBS needed to put some SPRING in our message" (with spring water)
"I'm shouting, not whiSPRING, 'You're just WATER VBS needed ... thank you!'"
"Thanks for helping kids quench their thirst for God"

If you go with the little Powerade bottles for Friday you could save either "thirst" line for that day.  Or maybe, "You've given us the POWER to quench [or develop] kids' thirst for God ... thank you!"

Aw shucks, thanks.  I don't even remember using that poem last year.  I do remember the Day After Fiesta one.

Our Walmart sells the smaller bottles of Powerade as a 6-pack.
