We are just getting started on our VBS for next week as we were getting our decorations ready we all talked to one another about how happywe were with the large posters because we have no artists in our group. we spray glued the buddys to foam board for decorations, and we bemoaned thte fact that Group does not provide the logo for us to hang on a piece of foam and use for decoration.  Like this year the power lab log would have been great to have we have no good way to reproduce it in our church.  Next year we would like to see it included as a seperate item or with the small buddy  posters or the large ones, or at least in a large format available seperately. Mak it easier on our little churches to decorate.  Crafty Bonnie..P.S we could add the glitter ourselves!

Good topic!  I know it's not always possible, but I would like to see the placement of buddy hands, hair, etc more compact to the buddy.  Many of us use the 4x8 wood or foam and because of outstretched arms and whatnot this year, enlarging them still meant that some were only 4' tall.  Last year Buc was close to 8' and made quite the statement.

I too would love to see the logo included next year.  It could just be an outlet item or added with the Large Bible Buddies.  If it was poster size (like the buddies) we could cut it out, mount it or do whatever we needed to for a stage prop.

I agree and disagree about the buddies hands, etc.  It is nice to make them larger when their hands and hair and stuff are more compact, but at the same time they seem more animated when they are waving and outreached.

Blessings,

Lisa in FL

Great suggestions! We'll dig into the possibility of adding another poster to this pack.

Perhaps not even another poster...we never use the preschool mascot one and it often confuses our kids because their isn't a buddy for it in the pack....how about replacing the preschool one with the logo?

I agree with maximing space....one thing i did not like was the buddies name attached to the buddy. Like Electra's name going through her hair....it didn't give us the option to not have the names attached.

I'd also like to see the forum go back to posting new threads immediately rather than waiting for a moderator to approve.  I understand why that policy was put into place, but I haven't seen that type of activity in a long time.  And nothing prevents that activity from an active thread anyway.  As is, if someone needs an immediate answer that answer may not come for many hours.  And also, since the post gets put on the page marked at the time it was sent (rather than approved), it may get lost in a category that has many replies to other threads.

I agree with Rene about getting things posted sooner. I know that the moderators have a life and I say a prayer for Peggy and Cindy as they are great. They work hard to get our answers.

But earlier this year my grandson had emergency surgery and I posted a prayer as I really needed my groupies. It was not applroved till the next day and was posted at yesterday's time. So it basicily got lost. I always read the prayers first as I feel God is reaching out to me.

Me again ... when a person starts a new post they have that option of adding a second description line that shows up on the main search page.  It would be nice if that tag line showed up once you've clicked to view that thread.  Sometimes important information is included there, such as a person's location or VBS date.  As is only the main subject shows up at the top of the thread itself.  Just a thought ...
