Please pray for our Church...VBS starts Monday..July14 and runs through July 19......

Friday night we lost one of our young adult teachers...he was only 43 to a heart attack. Jimmy will be a great loss in our church......during VBS he would bring kids that we would have no idea where he found them...I have joked in the past that he pulled them out of the woodwork.  It is hard for me to imagine myself dressing up like a crazy scientist now and acting silly.  I guess now is when I need to realize that God is in charge and He will make it happen.

Pray for us

Anna

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know to lose someone who has done so much in ministry seems so confusing.  His legacy should be carried on, so I will be praying that you and your church team will remember how he worked to bring in the kids, and that they would have the desire to do the same.  To honor Jimmy, you may be able to wear the scientist wig and act crazy, or maybe someone else, who hasn't been involved before, could be asked to jump in, since there's such a last-minute need.  Maybe there's someone who respected Jimmy who could "fill his shoes", in honor of him. This is hard.  I'll be praying.

Dear Anna,

I can not even imagine what you are experiencng, but I do know this...God's word says that He will never leave us or forsake us.  I have prayed, and will continue to pray, this promise for you and your team.  I think Jimmy would be happy to know that all the plans that have been made will carry on without him.  God bless you and comfort you, your team, and Jimmy's family.

Love,

Joy

Thank you for all of your words of incouragement......My husband has the wonderful ability to remember different peoples favorite verses in the bible and he told me that Jimmy was.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This is going to be a great VBS, I can just feel it.

Thank you again.
