Linda,

This year the elementary station, where Chadder is shown, is called Cinema Science. It's all one and the same... so that's where you will use the cinema science kit. Hope that clarifies things for you.

Linda,

But I have a position in my director's guide called "Chadder's Theater Leader" (for preschool) So I'm wondering if there is supposed to be a separate science kit for Chadder's Theater that the Chadder's Theater Leader uses. I have already given that leader guide out so I can't refer to it right now.

Thanks!

As far as I know, the cinema science kit does not apply to the preschool Chadder's Theatre - if you run your preschoolers separate/different than your elementary kids.

We only purchased one kit [per week - we ran PowerLab for 2 weeks]. I did not purchase it for our preschool.

Linda,

The preschool station, Chadder's Theater, does not use the science kit. They have their own age appropriate activities to do. Hope that helps!

I'm pretty sure "Power Blab" is a typo . . .Yeah, the kid write thank you type messages for people at VBS, and no, you don't have to have particular Bible buddies -- any of them will do!  Actually, before I told my leader that I was going to make stickers, she was just going to use colorful post-it notes. . .

Linda,

The Hex nuts are just ordinary hex nuts you can get at a hardware store.

The rest of the kit is available at steve spangler science.  They may have slightly different names, but that's where we got all of our stuff at.  (I'm not sure about the invisible ink pens)  The test tube a loons just tie at the ends, so they are actually reusable if you have someone who could give you theirs when they're done.  You might be able to get pens that way, too.

Google Dr Blindstein for more info.  His site has lots of info you could use.

The cinema science forums here have some info, too.

Also, this year is more "stuff" centered than in years past.  I think that has to do with the science theme more than anything.  You just need more specific stuff to do the experiments.

Although I've done the Group "Easy VBS" at least 4 years, this is my first year as director.  It does make me wonder what a "hard" vbs would be like!

I actually was able to order Test Tube a loons from Group a couple of days ago!

I've haven't seen the stickers online. What are they for? Do they need to write on them? Do you need a different buddy for each day? I've given my Bible Blast guide to my station leader and she is out of town. I also have on my list that she needs "Power Blab" stickers. Is that the same thing or maybe it was a typo. I mentioned before that I'm confused

The Power Blab stickers are included on the sheets of PL stickers. It is just one sticker that is to be used in the Bible Blast station on the last day. The daily challenge stickers to make the challenge bracelets are also included on the sticker sheets.

Thanks for sharing this. Any idea about what to use as a substitution since the PL stickers aren't listed on the Group website anymore?

Thanks!
