Our church will have a Power Lab float in our town parade in just two weeks.  We're searching for inexpensive giveaways that would support the science theme.  We're considering bottled water with a Power Lab sticker, but wondered if anyone had other ideas.

Thanks!

We were going to do Air Heads candy (you can get a big box at Costco) with a label about VBS stuck to it. We ended up not doing the parade though

We gave out hundreds of lollipops with a label attached to it containing details about our VBS.

Then we had four volunteers walk aside the float, distributing flyers to interested parents.

Carrie,

I think that having a Power Lab float in the parade is terrific! You'll definitely get attention for your VBS!

You could pass out little boxes of Nerds and attach your VBS advertisement that includes a catch phrase such as, "Power Lab is not just for Nerds!"

How about atomic fire balls. You can get a large container at a very reasonable price at BJ's Wholesale and probably other large wholesalers, as well.

I don't know if they're still available, but Dollar Tree had test tube treats available at the end of last summer. The test tubes were filled with a powder candy. Those would be perfect. They were packaged 10 for $1.00.

We made a VBS Power Lab float for our July 4th parade and handed out frozen freeze pops from Sam's Club with a printed wrist band stapled to the freeze pop advertising our VBS. The freeze pops were really cheap. If a child comes to VBS and returns the wrist band we will give them a special prize. Freeze pops stay really hard when frozen on dry ice. We had 3000 freeze pops and ran out half way through the parade.
