| | We had our VBS was last week, July 7-11, and it was AWESOME! We had so much fun that, I'm using several of the ideas for my son's 8th birthday next week. AND I volunteered to do a "mini" VBS (Aug 4-6) for a small church that wasn't going to have any VBS. BUT, things didn't exactly start out great. Let me explain, we do a community VBS, 5 churches together, and we rotate who's "in charge." It was not my church's year. Back in March I went to one of the bookstore "demos." I went ahead and bought a Director's Guide while I was there. I assumed we would do PL as we have used Group for many years, but, it was not going to be my decision. We did not have a meeting until the middle of June. So even though I had lots of ideas for PL, I really couldn't do anything until I was sure. When we had our meeting, we found that NOTHING had been ordered yet due to some mis-communication. At that point we had 3 weeks to get our leaders guides, ALL needed supplies, and make decorations. Oh, we didn't have the fanciest decorations...2 of us cut out cardboard beakers and flasks and then painted them. My husband printed out several pictures from the website. But in the end, it turned out GREAT! So, if your VBS is coming up, and you're feeling a bit overwhelmed, relax...It will all work out!  |

| I forgot to mention that my "games person" quit on me Sunday night before VBS on Monday. I had left her a message earlier in the week, but hadn't heard from her. So Sunday eve, I called to make sure she was all set...and she told me she wasn't going to be there... ... |

| Glad you shared this with the board as every now and then we need to be reminded God is in charge and He provides for us. He knows just how He wants us to reach out or should I say who. He makes sure we get the kids He wants us to reach.

| Thank you for sharing that!! I am feeling just a little overwhelmed myself at this time. Our vbs starts Monday. I know God has everything under control, I just need to trust Him to send who He wants to teach the cl.
