hi, my pastor and some men of the church just came back from a men's conference. my pastor told me that the speaker spoke about making sunday school and the church more attractive to men (e.g. color of walls, building) also spoke on how men should greet one another, etc. and that according to the Bible, the order should be God first, man, woman then child. the speaker proposed having a male lead the young boys beginning at age 7 or 8 while the girls would be taught separately. the speaker also spoke about the name "Sunday School" and how we should have an exciting name to draw kids. has anyone else heard of this perspective? the whole point i gathered after speaking with my pastor was that we need to get more men involved and then the rest will follow...our church and various ministries will grow...thanks for your feedback. my pastor is anxious to give this a try.
