I'm ready to send off our soccer balls. The insert included with the soccer balls gives the Colorado Springs address. However, the flier/envelope included in the starter kit gives an address in JOhnson City, TN.

I am assuming the TN address?

This is the information from www.ok2k.org...

  1. Place the soccer balls in a sturdy box. Since the balls are uninflated, it’s easy to pack them!
  2. Include a check for $25 (envelope is provided) made out to International Bible Society. This will help defray the international shipping and distribution costs.
  3. Seal the box and mail it to (label provided):
    International Bible Society
    c/o Operation Kid-to-Kid
    522 Princeton Road
    Johnson City, TN  37601
  4. Continue praying for the children God has arranged to receive the GO Balls you send!

We had attempted to send our Prayer Bears directly to a hospital in Africa that our assistant pastor is affiliated with (he is African). The boxes traveled to Africa and then returned as "unclaimed". He is amazed that this happened, but we do not want to go to the expense to try this all over again.

Will IBS still accept them at the same address as the soccer balls?

Ok

I sent both the Prayer Bears and the Soccer balls to the address above. I did not have the official form envelope, but I included a check in an envelope in each box, and put our church name and address on the envelope to show where it came from.

That was in December. It's now February. Neither of my checks have been cashed, and they'll be stale dated in a month. How long does it take?

What experience did anyone else have?

The checks just came up on my bank statement! That took a while, but I'm glad to know the bears and soccer balls are on their way!
