| I think Heroes Unmasked was the first one Group did. Then we had the Wild West Fall Fest, which followed Avalance Ranch last year. This year is Slime Time to go with Power Lab. I'm thinking they'll keep the theme from VBS and do a Fall event that reuses the decorations. This is a great idea really! If anyone knows of others, please post it here. You can always do a standard theme, easy to decorate party with all the traditional carnival games. One more thing, years ago, we did a Masquerade Party in the Spring. We had many in our congregation who never participated in the Halloween events, but they really wanted to "do the costumes", so we planned a party in April that was an untraditional Easter Party, with costumes and we used mostly Mardi Gras decorations. We played games and had a quick devotional talking about wearing masks, and why we wear them and why we shouldn't. We need to be real with God and with each other. This would work any time of year, but it was particularly good for our party. Happy Planning!

| Yep. Group started out with Heroes Unmasked as ther first Fall Fest event. Then came Wild West Fall Fest and Slime Time. Group should announce the 2009 Fall Fest in the Crocodile Dock catalog when it comes out in November. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio

| I read somewhere on the forum that next year's Fall Fest will be Swamp Stomp. I'm not sure if that's true, or if someone thought that was a good idea. It makes sense, though, with Croc Dock for VBS. It's sure to be a good one!

| Hmmm...I don't know. One of the stations for Crocodile Dock is Sing & Play Swamp Stomp. Personally I don't think Group would name their Fall Fest that. It sounds more like something music related. People stomp their foot to the beat. I haven't heard anything about the 2009 Fall Fest yet. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio

| I did WWFF last Fall and although we used the decorations from Avalanche Ranch, the emphasis was on the harvest look. Pecos Pete's Pumpkin Patch is obviously a pumpkin patch, and the decorations for that would be fields to harvest in the distance and plenty of pumpkins for decorations, both on the wall and real ones. Scarecrows and fences were a good decoration on the hall walls. Crows were a cute addition too. The carnival games didn't lend themselves to the ranch theme either, so just leaves and fall items were appropriate. If you happen to have the AR decorations, you'll have a start, but there's much more pumpkin emphasis. We had a great turn-out of kids, and several made decisions for Christ, when they visited Pecos Pete. This role should be played by a gentleman who is really good with kids, and has a willingness to do the invitation. The kids got candy and the trading cards at the carnival, but I wasn't that impressed with the CD, so I sure wouldn't buy a bunch extra. You might want to have other prizes, as the kids will probably get plenty of candy that time of year. Have fun planning!
