My husband plays paintball.  I know what does that have to do with topic, rite?  Well, seems that in cleaning out his things from my kitchen the other day, I found this box of scrappy material.  I sd "what is this?"  He sd "trash".  I opened the box and sd "GOLDEN TRASH!!!!"  It was a camo material stuff that he and his brother had bought from a local military surplus store.  Imagine that!  They had shredded it to have me sew onto their clothing to make some crazy soemthing.  Much to my delight, he scratched the idea and was throwing out this phase in his game.  It is now in my shed labelled "cool for VBS...NOT TRASH!"   ---So, check to see if u have a military surplus near you.  He sd this stuff was c-h-e-a-p!

If you want to find some cheap leaves etc, go to your local area Goodwill, Salvation Army, Thrift stores, etc.  you can get them for practically nothing.  Just went to Panama City this past week and racked up on several different types of leaves and different shades of green.  So don't forget another man's trash could be your VBS heaven.

PS - While you're talking to your hunter friends, see if you can borrow some decoys.  You may find ducks, mudhens, geese, who knows what!  They make heron and egret decoys, battery operated moving decoys, wounded woodpecker decoys, even remote controlled swimming decoys
