| Thanks for the question. I think I can help! My guess is that the confusing part is 'points of contact.' Assuming you have 6 people in your small group Circle of Friends, if you all walked from the start to the fininsh like, you'd each have 2 points of contact (your two feet). 2 times 6 people is 12 points of contact. To do 18 points, you'd each need to add one more point of contact, like a hand. Or two hands for some people and none for others. Does that make sense? So each time across, you have to eliminate one point of contact. For example, if all 6 people had two feet and one hand touching, you'd have one person just touch two feet. 12 points is easy for 6 people. You could go down to 6 with everyone hopping across on one foot (or piggy-backs of three smaller kids on the backs of three larger kids, if you can do this safely). Less than that becomes a challenge!
Hope this helps. Keep sharing your thoughts and questions. And remember to tell your friends about Friends! Let me know if I can be of service in any other way. God bless you and your ministry!
