In social situations I am extremely introverted.  I am very uncomfortable with strangers and even prefer groups of friends be kept to 6 or fewer.  Any suggestions about how someone like me might be able to do outreach?

How about by being a mentor?  It would be a one-on-one situation where a bond would slowly form.  You could share your faith through your relationship with a child.

You could also sponsor a child through World Vision, Compassion International, etc.  Your letters could make the difference for a child and his/her family.

It seems to me that most effective outreach happens one-on-one rather than through big events anyway. I think the best place to start is where God already has you. Rather than trying to throw big events or parties that you wouldn't enjoy anyway, press into the relationships that are right before you. I think you can change the world one friend at a time.
