Where does one find the sheets to read concerning God Sightings that you are mentioning? I will be working with the Pre-School children. We may or may not be joining the other children during Sing & Play Swamp Stomp. Last year we found that it was way to noisy & confussing for these pre-school children.

The God Sighting examples are in the Rocky's Preschool student book--a different set of examples each day.

| I usually just read this forum but I need to share this email I received the day after we decided to do Crocodile Dock for VBS. I was also wondering how to explain God sightings then realized - they are everywhere and anywhere. This email included a cute picture but to save room - I am excluding it. AIN'T....... ......... .... He was just a little boy, On a week's first day. Wandering home from Bible school, And dawdling on the way.
He scuffed his shoes into the grass; He even found a caterpillar. He found a fluffy milkweed pod, And blew out all the 'filler.'
A bird's nest in a tree overhead, So wisely placed up so high. Was just another wonder, That caught his eager eye.
A neighbor watched his zig zag course, And hailed him from the lawn; Asked him where he'd been that day And what was going on. 'I've been to Bible School ,' He said and turned a piece of sod..
He picked up a wiggly worm replying, 'I've learned a lot about God.'
'M'm very fine way,' the neighbor said, 'for a boy to spend his time.' 'If you'll tell me where God is, I'll give you a brand new dime.' Quick as a flash the answer came! Nor were his accents faint. 'I'll give you a dollar, Mister, If you can tell me where God ain't.'

| In 3 words, recognizing "God at work." That's what I'll tell my kids.

Wonderful poem!! Thanks for sharing. I am going to use this in my presentation tonight to recruit my team for VBS. It is an excellent example of God sightings from a child's point of view.

I totally love the idea of God Sightings over the Daily Challenges. While the Daily Challenges were totally awesome, I think that giving children one concept to focus on for the week is a great idea. This makes it easier for parents sending multiple children to Croc Dock to help make the God Sightings a part of their daily lives without having to worry about which kid is doing what Daily Challenge each night. As always, giving kids one thing to focus on for the week will tend to make a bigger (and longer lasting) impact than changing the focus every day.

| I really like the fact that we can encourage kids within VBS. Sometimes we are not able to control or have support when the kids go home so God Sightings allow them to share and recognize within VBS. This also allows for a more varied response. I can't wait.

| I think the God Sighting's are a wonderful and exciting new concept. I was showing our VBS staff everything in the kit and they were really into the God Sighting's wristband. I'm looking forward to God's Sighting's. Also, I don't think the 10 Plagues is scary at all. I remember learning about the Plagues when I was little, I've taught it several times in kids ministry and every time the kids love it. It's a perfect message to show kids that God is powerful and doesn't play around! I'm ready to Rock this Dock!! Charity (Graceland Kidz Director, San Francisco)

| The preschool stories are toned down a bit, but don't sway from the truth. Maybe that would be more comfortable for you to use with the elementary kids as well. However, I must say that I am glad to see some of the "harsher" things being taught. I think our children need to know the totality of Who God is. I like that Group balances those bad things with a little fun (Do you think children really would have happily been hopping around with the frogs or screaming because they couldn't get away from them?)

| I was just wondering where we can get the rainbow gl that came in the starter kit. They are such a great way to introduce "God Sightings," and make a great prize, too! I was rather confused why Group would include a set in the kit without offering them for purchase.
