| | It seems a bit redundant to me to have three stories about people getting out of jail in six weeks time, especially when there are so many delightful stories from Acts to choose from. In spring week 7 the angel releases disciples from jail in week 10 God freed Peter from jail in week 12 Paul & Silas in jail all are wonderful Bible stories but so close together????????

| | Thanks for your message. Here's a response from our Development 'friends!' Thank you for your comments concerning FaithWeaver Friends. We really appreciate hearing from the folks "in the trenches" who can tell us better than anyone what is working and not working in our curriculum. Thanks for your input about the three "jail" stories in spring '07. You're right that younger children will have a hard time distinguising one story from another. Rather than aiming for that, I would suggest concentrating on the individual point of each lesson: Be loyal to God (week 7), God wants to help you (week 10), and Say yes to Jesus (week 12). One of the most powerful themes pervading Acts is that God is always with us, even in the scariest, darkest times, and these three "jail" stories really help to make that point above all. I hope this helps; please be in touch with other concerns and questions. We love hearing from you! Candace McMahan Editor, Curriculum Resources
