Do you live in NC, SC, or GA and doing "A Night in Bethlehem?"  We're evaluating this for a community outreach project in 2009.  I'd love to see what I think I want to get into and what others have done with it. I think this would be a nice community outreach project for us.

Please respond with your church's name and dates of your event.  I'd love to see some small interpretations as well as some grand scales so please don't be shy.

Thank you.

That is a great idea. I keep thinking we should do NIB also, but would sure like to see how it runs. Is there anyone in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area who is doing NIB? Please post your dates & contact info, and I will try to come to yours!

Thanks,

Dawn

I agree ladies!! That is a great idea! I'm tossing around the idea of doing this program next year as well, but would like to see and understand better how it runs. If there is anyone in the Illinois, Iowa, or Missouri area-please post your location, date and time of your Night in Bethlehem event. I would love to come and check it out!!

We are in OH and did NIB last year in place of our usual advent program.  It was a great success and we are doing it again this year.  We transformed our fellowship hall into Bethlehem and the marketplace using canopies (donated for use by members), sheets, old material (donated also) for the walls and threw rugs on the floors of each station.  Everyone that attended loved it.  We held it for one day for 2 hours, this year we are extending our hours to possibly 3 hours.  We are hoping to use the skits this year also.  We had probably 50-70 volunteers to work it and others donated their artistic talents to help with backgrounds and backdrops.  We also had  photo booth where we put on costumes on (mainly head pieces and something over the shoulders) the visitors after they registered for the census and took their picture and had them printed (someone donated the papers and ink and we used a computer to print them out) and put into handmade folders (I used the clip art that Group provides on their freebie link and colored cardstock) for their memento of the evening along with their wares that they made along the way.  they picked up their photos on their way out after they visited the live nativity.  Good luck to all that is putting on this program.  It is a lot of work but the results are indescribable.

Blessings to all

Vivian

Kimberly,

I would be happy to share them if someone could tell me if there is a certain way to post them or a certain place.  Or I can just sent them to your email if you like.

I might be able to help you out.
  • Save the picture in My Documents and know what you titled it.
  • Then, Log in to the Fourm. Go to the topic and click post.
  • After, you see a column that says size and then an A. Look above the A.
  • Click on the Mountians!
  • Then click Browse, and find the picture and download it!
  • Then, Look at your beautiful picture!!!!!

You could also use a photo-sharing website like photobucket.com where you can upload the photos to an account and then post the link on the forum.

God Bless,

Josh
