This is a shot in the dark, but does anyone know if the bubble/fog machines @ wal-mart can be used for fog only, or if the bubble solution has to be used along with it? It's the only ones that our wal-mart stores carry & they are half price right now.

I have one and I don't see why you couldn't. The bubble part is actually separate from the rest of the machine. It dips down into the solution and then places a "wand" in front of the smoke output to produce the bubbles. Without the solution, the wand should still move up and down while the smoke will continually blow. The only problem with these machines however is that they are harder to control. They do not have a remote that you can use.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks. Before the after halloween sale, Wal-mart had fog machine timers. I thought I would be smart and wait until after halloween. Needless to say, they were all gone by the time that I got there, but they may still have them in other locations.

| The bubble machines tend to not have a connection for a timer. The one I have has a preheat switch and a switch that lets you choose between large and small bubbles. This is kind of frustrating, but it is still really cool.
