Shannon,

I will definitely be praying that God would give you enough volunteers to pull off your A Night in Bethlehem program. I attended one tonight and it's was a great experience. It's totally worth all of the hard work that your putting into it.

God Bless,

Josh

HI,
I have worked with volunteers for about 12 years now. I have found the most successful way to get volunteers is to go straight up to people and ask them. Be sure to have the job description with you, let them know you are supplying everything, all they have to do is review the info and show up.
Some people think volunteering means tons of time involved and they end up putting their own money in, assure them this is not the case.
Good luck!
Francine

I suggest you get in costume and get on the platform (or if not possible, hang around where people gather. Play the part--you are looking for Bethlehem and heard it was nearby; you aren't sure there will be enough storekeepers or inn space because so many are heading there for the census....

Our NIB is tonight. I am very tired. But I have some great volunteers who do the stuff I am not wired for. And some people came up to me this weekend wondering if help was still needed. But by then I had it all blocked out with who was available. I hate saying no thanks because they might not volunteer at all in the future (but maybe that was the point--I'll offer too late but at least I offered).

We did it last year and had a great evening.
