Are there any object lessons out there for preschoolers about Lent?
We will be getting the children together one Saturday morning before Lent to create our Lenten Tree symbols. We will be 'building' a Lenten Tree this year - each week during the children's moment, they will come forward and hang that week's 'ornament' on the tree and explain to the congregation the symbolism. So I know that I use the time creating them to bring the story home to them, but I am also looking for other ideas and I just haven't been successful.
So, thought I'd check here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
