The KIDS -ALL ages love Chadder. I have had adults that don't know anything about our VBS evcept Chadder.

They heard about it from the jr high kids.

My station helpers all have to watch it following the closing program.

In my experience, the older elementary kids do find Chadder to be rather silly, but they still always seem to get a kick out of him and so do all of my volunteers!!! I don't think I'll ever take Chadder out of my program!!

I agree with everyone else. No matter what the age everyone seems to like Chadder. The first year I was director (2007) I had someone make the Chaddar Costume. So not only do the kids see the video they get to mingle with Chaddar live and in person. He also gets up after the video and talks about the story line and hams it up about the sticky situations he gets into. The first thing we hear out of the little kids as they come in the door "WHERE'S CHADDAR". Even our 5th and 6th graders seem to enjoy the videos and they love it when Chaddar joins in for game time.

We never use it.  I had my 7 year old watch it and he thought is was okay but said it was corny.  My 10 year rolled her eyes and said seriously mom.  So I am writing skits.
