Before you reply, let me say that I think you should have a scriptural focus/principle and build from there when developing a theme, but that choice was not mine. 

That being said, does anyone have suggestions for a theme passage/reference.  We want it to be a positive tone.  By this I mean we want to avoid passages that have negating verbage such as "do not" "be not" etc.  For instance, one that comes to mind is Ps 119:11 "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

That is a powerful verse, but if used as the theme/main idea it can be perceived that the goal of the Christian life is not to sin.  I'm not opening a theological debate, but from my view that is not the "win."

It's for adults, but I think it could easily be adapted a little for youth.  We did it in our SS class and it was really good.  It includes lots of great hands on activities and suggestions for service projects, etc.

We did a spring event with teen girls and focused on the ways you can talk to others to build them up, how you can live and act to show others Christ, how you can have loving relationships with family and choose loving christian friends(and boyfriends),  how you should always make choices in life relying on your faith to guide you and on valuing yourself and the value of purity in a world which does not value it.  This is a short simple explanation, but I hope it give you an idea!  Blessings!   1^God

I love the theme but it's hard to find a verse that goes with it. Good luck on finding one.
