Is anyone on this board attending the Livermore conference? Between here & Facebook I'm beginning to think I'll have a private training session . I offered it to my team (all but meals paid) but no one will be attending with me. I'll have to bring back all the fabulous ideas!Would love to meet anyone that will be going to the Bay Area How2! | Ok...so I tried this on FB with not much response. Does anyone have the contact information for the presenter Cynthia? She said a few things in the recruting class that I wanted to follow up on. That day she had to catch a plane so there wasn't much time to talk. One thing was that she has monthly volunteer meetings. What does she do in those meetings? Thanks so much! Kate

Hi Kate -
I forwarded your entire post directly to Cynthia Phillips who is the presenter who lead your workshop that day, so you should hear from her soon!
I also presented the Recruiting Workshop for HOW2. Everyone was so interested and excited about recruiting, we could have gone on for another session!
Hope it was beneficial to you in your recruiting efforts! My own church team got a lot out of it. Matter of fact, we are planning to have recruiting meetings for our Directors starting next month and through the summer. Some of the recruiting meeting will be face to face, but I'm sure alot of communication will be by phone and email. That way we can share information about people we are interested in pursuing, coordinate so multiple directors are not competing with each other, and refer those who might be a better fit in someone else's department. Our prayer is that we will create the best fit for each person. PLUS, We figure if 5 Directors and I know the gifts of only 25 people each that's 150 people in our collective sphere of influence!

Lisa-
Thank you for forwarding my post. I'm so glad to hear that even the experts were able to use the How2 information.
I currently have my team and a few key volunteers and parents filling out the survey. We are at a crossroads in our ministry, especially with our first hour on Sundays. I'm looking forward to hearing their opinions. I have to be really careful not to take it personally.
I hope to be doing some of the different cl. Maybe I can use those for the monthly meetings for now. Not sure.
Thanks for your help!
Kate

You are sooo right about the taking it personal thing. (I struggle with that from time to time.)
I will pray that your team will give you rich food for thought and well deserved praises too!
