| I was disappointed to learn that Crocodile Dock doesn't have a fall festival kit available to purchase. We have had much success with the last two kits (Slime Time and Wild West Fall Fest). I'm still hoping that maybe Group will help us out with some ideas for activities and games and, especially, a creative gospel presentation that we could purchase. In the meantime, I thought I would begin a new topic here and see if anyone could come up with any ideas. I like being able to re-use our VBS decorations one more time, and I think the kids like seeing them again, too. We liked the follow-up photo frames and the inexpensive music cd's, too. If we were able to get a few graphics (a unique logo and maybe the game title posters) that would be great, too. So....here's the challenge to all you creative people: to come up with a plan for a fall festival centered around the Croc Dock theme. Here are some ideas we could use: *Name of event *Activities and Games with catchy, themed titles *A hands-on gospel presentation (it is helpful to incorporate a giveaway here that the kids really want. i.e. last year it was the flashing cross necklaces) *Anything else you think would be a good idea By the way....I am not a creative person. That's why I'm asking for your ideas.

| I've been planning on having a "Swamp Stomp!" I will redo some games from CD -- especially those that are big hits and some that aren't used! We redid the bubble last year and kids were so happy to do that again, for instance. Last year's slime was a HUGE hit and I think I might do that again, but put more "swampy" things in it. It was easy and funny for the kids to play with. You can order the stuff from Steve Spangler to make it and heavens knows I've got plenty of tub tints left over! What about a gator pond, like a duck pond? Have some of the rubber gators marked on the bottom of a wading pool and those who pick the special ones get an extra prize. If you got several of the Dollar Tree gators, you could have kids throw them at a target or try to throw them through a hula hoop or something. A simple "fishing" game could be a fun one, where kids throw a cane pole fishing line with a clothes pin over a divider and then come back with candy or a prize when they feel the "tug" from the fish. All you need is a couple of older kids back there, sticking prizes on the clothes pin. Some other games that were big hits in the past and could be adapted included shooting those finger rockets at mylar baloons (find gators?), dropping the "hay" into the bowl from on high, any kind of obstacle course that includes brooms and balloons, and tossing rings around buddies glued to a board! Of course, we always loved the neat storytime ideas, so this year we'll just have to come up with something on our own! Roger tells me he'll do whatever I ask as long as he doesn't have to crawl into another cave with the kids. He's 50 and his knees just can't take that anymore! LOL

| These are all great ideas....thanks. I agree that the slime was a huge hit last year. We put leftover buddies in our slime. We initially thought we would make certain buddies worth more (like a duck pond), but the kids had so much fun digging in the slime and the prize didn't really matter that much. We also re-did the "human bubble" as we called it. Keep the ideas coming.....

I am sad to hear that Group is not publishing a fall fest. We have used their materials over the last few years and have been really pleased at how easy it was to implement. It seems that there is interest in collaborating to create a fall fest. I am interested in contributing. We have a graphic designer on staff so we can create things like Bible Buddy Cards and a logo. We might even be able to pull off a photo frame. We can purchase the posters from Group. Is anyone up for planning some fun games and writing a gospel presentation? I will be glad to compile all the info and make it available in pdf format.

Is anyone doing a Bible story adventure as part of their follow-up? If so, can you share what you're using?

| We always do our own games for the most part anyway so it will be fine. One game we do is a sack race. We can call it Plague of the Frogs or something. Any thoughts? We also do a bouncy house, a cake walk, a hair/ nail/ tattoo booth, a coin toss, bean bag toss through the hole in the board, ping pong ball in the gl of water, golf (I heard someone mention gator golf with the cypress tree stumps). We sell hot dogs, chips and a soda for $1. Any thoughts on names or adaptations would be great. And how are we going to do the photo station?

Since our S&P/Finale leader didn't realize she was supposed to do activities from the book (don't get me started) I am thinking we will do the egg thing.
