I too was disappointed when they decided not to publish a fall theme to tie into VBS.  All of your ideas are fabulous, so thank you for them!  My own girls (and ALL of the kids and parents) loved the donut game last year with the "slime" on them.  I think we will use that same game this year and call it "Swamp Dunked Donuts" and have the kids try to eat them the same way as last year.  Please keep us posted if anyone comes up with a wrap up bible message as I have been trying to figure one out with Skeeter since VBS ended.

I actually created a photo mailer template a couple of years ago.  Give me a month or so to get through Splash Bash and our Sunday School kickoff and I'll create one to share!

How about using the dock as a bowling alley.  We have plastic pins someone donated a few years ago.  Call is "Bowling for crocs" ?  Maybe glue leftover bible buddies or just jacques to the pins.

Thanks for all of the ideas everyone. I think we can easily come up with enough ideas for games and activities. I'm still at a loss for the creative gospel presentation though. I'm not sure I'm creative enough to come up with something on my own. And, it's nice if it is tied into some cool gizmo or prize giveaway, which encourages participants to come to that station.

Does anyone have any ideas for creative sharing of the Gospel.  I too like the idea of a tangible item like last year's glow cross neckleces.  I'm also looking for the instructions for making a pit of slime/swamp sludge.

Thanks!

I still have some of these left if anyone is interested in them for a Fall Festival.  I used these Hatching Crocodile Eggs to give to each child along with a tract at the end of the week.  There are 12 in a box selling on Ebay right now at Buy it Nows for $26.00.  I have 3 full boxes plus a partial box of 10 for a total of 46 eggs.  I am willing to sell them all for a total of $40 plus shipping.  I think they would be great to use if you still haven't done your VBS or if you are planning a Fall Festival.  The kids enjoyed getting a hatching egg and seemed to know right away what they were.  Some of the adults were afraid they were really real.  LOL

The best way to get ahold of me is to email me.

Here is our new logo.  Email me if you would like to use it.  I am starting to put games together.  Keep plugging away!

I think that I have all of my activities for our Bayou Bash together.  I wanted to post them so you can use them if you would like:

Buddy Games:

Tucker's Ball Toss: Guests use pingpong balls to bounce into "turtle shells" (green bowls).

Flash's Glow Ride: Guests fling glowing disks through hoops hung from the ceiling.

Blossom's Tail Hockey:  Guests use "possum tails" (party blowouts) to push a pingpong ball to the finish line.

Belle's Flipper Maze: Guests use flippers to move beanbag fish through a maze.

Jacque's Gator Ring Toss: Guests toss rings around inflatable gator noses and tales.

Preschool Games:

Swamp Stomp: Preschoolers pop bubble wrap using their feet.

Lily Pad Leap: Preschoolers jump from lily pad (green foam) to lily pad to avoid marshy obstacles (stuffed alligators).

Gator Grab: Preschoolers "fish" for floating gators in the water-filled pool.

Buddy Basin:  Preschoolers search for all five buddies in a rice-filled bin.

Marsh Madness: Preschoolers use foam swimming noodles to pop bubbles.

Other Games:

Dockside Bowling: Guests use a playground ball to bowl over 1 liter bottles.

Monstro Marsh Madness: Guests use kiddie pools, bubble solution and hula hoops to create large bubble around their bodies (like Monstro Bubble last year - the kids loved it!).

Crawfish Crawl: Guest collect balls scattered across the floor into a laundry basket - the trick is that they must crawdish crawl (aka crab walk) to collect them!

Raft Races: Guests sit on "wood" covered sit-skates and paddle across the finish line.

Other Activities:

Snack: Gator Goop - Guest dine on layered chocolate pudding, cool whip and crumbled Oreos.  Top is off with a gummy alligator - nothing could be sweeter.

Swamp Sludge: Guests play with slime (just like last year!).

Now onto the gospel presentation...

Beth
