We have made up motions to some of our kids songs, but my creativity only goes so far!   Is there a website or other resource where I can get ideas without spending a fortune on teaching DVD's?

If you haven't already utilized the VBS DVDs complete with kids doing motions with lyrics on the screen, start there. Also you might consider the "Shine" and "Shine 2" DVDs, which is even more of the same great songs with lyrics. I asked a friend if she would do our last series of 8 songs, because my motion creativity was maxed out. She happens to be a sign language interpreter's daughter, and she came up with all kinds of relevant cool motions to include! I've asked our drill team girls for help before, and they really come through too. See if you have someone in your group who needs a creative outlet. You never know how someone will be the right one to offer their talent, thinking they didn't have anything to offer. You might have a new kids worship leader in the making - I did! Best of luck.

Check out onewaystreet.com they have a music section then once there you can click on different cd's and dvd's and they have short video clips that show what is on them.  You may get some ideas by just looking at them and not have to purchase them.  My husband and I teach cl for kids worship and what we tell everyone is whatever moves you use keep them boy friendly.  The older boys (11-14) will be your hardest to "sell" the moves to so if they like them all will like them.

Good luck!

Browse this section of Group's website: http://store.grouppublishing.com/OA_HTML/gpCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=18822

I know you said you don't want to spend a fortune on DVD's, but you'll find that the prices start at 16.99 for great DVD's with quality music videos of kids leading motions. And if you order something and it's not what you were hoping for, you can always take advantage of Group's 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Hope that helps!
