OK,so one of my friend's told me this and I wanted to know what you guys think. Some girl's sister, let's call her Becky,is only 11 yrs old and her sister and her sister's friend have decided to re-launch the Youth Group and Children's Church. Now,"Becky" remembers all of this stuff and she really misses when the church used to be filled with tons of people listening and learning of God's word. Then everything fell apart.Recently,Becky discovered that she was born a prophet;one that is meant to spread God's word.Becky's sister and her sister's friend are more like false-prophets;they really don't know how to preach the word of God and they didn't start reading the Bible until they re-launched the Youth Group and Children's Church.Becky is unable to speak her mind to her sister, because she's afraid. She has ideas beyond ideas. She's afraid if she takes over then she'll be the youngest Youth minister and people either might start making fun of her or they might start worshiping her.I asked my friend if I can have Becky's email and now I don't know what to say.I was so prepared to say,"Go for it!!"and now I'm not sure...What do you guys think Becky should do?

Youth ministry is what I was born for.

How old are you?

First, I would talk to the administration of the church and see what they think. If they agree, I would start out with something small like a regular Bible Study at someone's house and work from there.

God Bless,

Josh

I would agree that the administration or the council of the church should be addressed with the situation. They should then pray and discern to see what God is telling them to do. Also, I think that 'Becky' should really pray about what she feels God is telling her about whether or she should start the ministry. If so, then don't worry about what others may say. There's always going to be some sort of anxiety when one is starting a new ministry because they don't know what to expect. When we keep our eyes focused on God and continue to give all of ourselves and our ministry to Him then there is a knowing and a trust that He has control over the group.

In terms of the sister and her friend, they may still have a significant role in the youth ministry. Use them where their strengths are so that they may benefit the group with the best of their ability.
